Well, I started here on Asheron's Call about 10 years ago. Since then I have worked on LOTRO a few years ago, then moved to work on Batman: Arkham City and couple of other external WB games. More recently I was working on Infinite Crisis. Now I am here!

Well sad to see you go, I'm glad that you will be going to a job that you will enjoy but still sad to see you go. I still think we should get the option to buy a "Soon" Horse in the LOTRO Store. That would be a really nice thing to have. Also i hope that you would be able to still stop into the servers and say hello every once in a while. Thanks for the fun.

Can confirm via his Twitter, he appears to have a beard. Though I am not sure which one of the 2 people in his Twitter pic are him (if either one is!).

Excuse me! I can assure you that Patience, LotRO's first Community Manager, did not have a beard, as you can see in the picture I have linked below. That's Patience in the pink sweater. (I am on the left, in the blue sweater. We did not plan it that way.) The pic, incidentally, is from the Seattle Midnight Madness party, held the night before LotRO launched. I'll need to get a picture of me with Frelorn so I continue to have a full set.

Patience was awesome beyond words. I remember once someone insulted her in the forums, and boy, that guy got flamed.

I'm also saddened to read that you're moving on from your incredible tenure as CM here. Between Patience and you, we have truly been blessed with dedicated and wonderful people keeping us in line and keeping the community active and as informed as you're allowed to let us be. It's quite the passing of an era. If you have to leave us, Extra Life is one of the best possible new places though. They're very lucky people. Thank you for all you have put up with here, and all you have poured into LotRO over these past years. "Soon Fundraising Poster," please!! I wish you all the very best in your new job. Godspeed!

Thank you for everything you have contributed to this game and the community Rick! It will be bittersweet as others have said, it was hard losing Patience and it will certainly be sad not to have you around as the manager. You are going on to work for a great cause and that is to be commended!

While we will miss you around here, I look forward to the rush as Extra Life goals are met.

I love that song too, definitely among my fave Counting Crows songs. I think my fave is probably Raining in Baltimore.
